Welcome

The Southwell Ramblers walking group is based in and around the Southwell area of Nottinghamshire. We walk throughout the year in Nottinghamshire and the adjoining counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. Walks are usually in the range of four to eight miles in length. In the summer months we have shorter evening walks, which may end at a local pub. Each year in spring and autumn the group organises short breaks away in areas further afield.

Our walks programme is produced twice a year for six month periods. The programme will be announced by email to members and shown on this website.

Give us a try!

You’re welcome to join us on any of our walks (all led by our experienced walk leaders) to see if the Ramblers is for you. Then, once you’ve enjoyed the views, fun, exhilaration and good company, it’s just a case of becoming a Ramblers member. To join the group on a walk on a trial basis, click on a walk from the "Our next walks" box on this page and contact the walk leader for information.
